eBay Watch: July 2008

July was a pretty status quo month. Nothing went super high, but prices weren’t low either. Lots of stuff went for over a thousand, which is my barometer. Australia is super hot or collecting right now: there’s lots of great decks going that way, and some great collections being put together. I guess the weak dollar is good for something.

Check out eBay Watch for July 2008.

  • The toft is now part of a dispute between seller and buyer. The buyer’s caiming ‘resto’and wants his money back sighting excessive ink bleed into the wood grain from the wing screen????Don’t they all do this over time?

  • Ok Neil…….i need your help. im sure you are aware of the mcgill re-issues that have been out for a while now but…im sure you also know alot of people want and prefer the bottlenose snakeskin graphic which is obviuosly the one everyone wants more. some people, my self included have a made a few comments on skate one..and they are considering it but…not enough noise for them to invest in it i believe..so…….i started a petition on skateone.com under powell peralta forums named of course…….”mcgill snakeskin petition” i think if enough people leave a comment they may take it more seriously… luckily i can afford the real thing, but alot of peole cant and who in thier right mind would skate it? so…..i wanted to know if you could mention the petition in the next e-bay watch heading… beacuse i know your site gets alot of traffic from alot of powell fanboys like my self…thanx if anything for at least considering…keep it up cant wait til next months bay watch…later.

  • what about a variflex jeff jones?

  • John Warren is a skater out of New Zealand and Variflex has had some other more well know pro’s ride for their team.

  • the black jeff phillips is the rarer later version with rounded rails and a cool color fade in the background.

  • A

That Hartsel deck is hypnotizing to look at in the detailed shot with all that brown shag carpet. Weird.

I dig the Plan B Mullen deck too. And of course, i like the Duke, but prefer the Nuke.

  • Deathwish III is one of the greastest cinematic achievements of all time

  • Yeah I’ve wondered that myself about Gonz’s spellings, sure does add value to the piece of work. ” Mark Gonzales the artist skater, yeah he’s dyslexic you know, look at his spelling on this piece of contemporary art – I must have it to hang in my penthouse”
