eBay Watch: June 2008

eBay Watch: June 2008

eBay is like a yoyo. Prices were high in April, way down in May, but they completely rebounded in June. In a very big way. So let’s see. Tax rebates in April, nothing in May, Government Stimulus Checks in June. Is it really that obvious? Apparently yes. So if my reckoning is right, prices will tank again in July. Note to self, next year sell stuff in April.

  • Hey there Neil!

    So here

  • Sean Goff on SnA!!

    Mad respect!

  • houseofneil

alright Sean! We actually met at Romford at Romday 85. Shit, 23 years ago. I think I have the link, hold up. . . .

  • YEAH NEIL………….
Stoked to see my Vision watch on the June 2008 ebay watch. I found my one the other day going through an old wardrobe, still mint in the packet. Never knew they did it in white though… Dorfman must have made a fortune off that image of me. Funny as I didn’t get nothing and neither did the guy who took the photo.I bet he feels real bad about that !!!

Have you still got the item number for that as I’d like to check out the full listing.

Really enjoy the feature. Well done old chap !

Sold some bushings today which you might find of interest. Just because in US $ they went for over $50.00.
GULLWING PRO 70’s Skateboard Truck Rubber Bushings Item number: 330251064429

And here’s another set, of just 2 bushings, that went for just under $25.00.
TRACKER Stim/Stimulator Skateboard Truck Bushings M/Yel Item number: 270253790887

Some guys must have a bushing fetish !!!

    Cheers, Sean

reaally? I’ll have to look for that. I think that liquor store has it.

  • I never thought i’d find the words Greene King in a Skate blog… ;-o Ain’t the interwebs a strange place?

Beer Tip: I’ve heard Theakston’s Old Peculiar is the “grail” of real ales these days.

  • houseofneil

Yup, Abbottt is brewed by Greene King in Bury St Edmonds Suffolk.

Hell yeah. Whole Foods carries some “better” beer, and now they carry Abbott. I couldn’t believe it either. One of our local liquor stores carries Old Speckled hen too, no joke. Oh yeah, Hobgoblin too.

  • The biggest surprise this month is where Neil manages to find “Abbot Ale” in Chicago!!? That’s an East Anglian / Suffolk (UK) brew if i’m not mistaken. What next, Speckled Hen? Intriguing..!

Keep those music critiques coming too. The Exploited / Benny Hill comparison; their rotund guitarist Big John did have some similarities to a punked out BH. They should’ve covered “Yakety Yak”…

    Entertaining stuff.

  • Great commentaries Neil! They get better each month especially, when it comes to those “ugly ass” Roskopp designs.

  • I was bummed to see that my 1993 Plan B Danny Way Star Wars complete didn’t make the eBay Watch cut when it sold for $462. All in all, I was ok with it since I picked it up at a thrift store for $5.99! 🙂

  • freudian slip.. ‘eh JF? 😉

  • love your egay watch Neil, keep up the good work.

  • A

Yeah, that should answer your question Neil. I enjoy seeing the 60’s stuff too, even though they may not be as striking as the boards with graphics.

I say mix it up as much as possible.

  • enemy combatant

The vert lam stringers on that Hobie are seriously bitchin’! I can’t believe how cheap some of those ’60’s boards go for.
