Zumiez Couch Tour at Glenhaven

More killing it, Lifestyle at Glenhaven

Man, we are killing it with the lifestyle shots. There’s this thing called the Zumiez Couch Tour that came through town about a week ago. There was a contest for the locals and a pro demo. I contemplated checking it out. I figured I might get a couple good photos of some pros at our humble skatepark. But then it was raining on and off, overcast, and Zumiez, after all, so I blew it off. I actually went and skated that crappy covered pool that everyone thinks is lame. Grover was going to check it out for GVK fodder. I told him there’s no way they’d do it in the rain. He reminded me that the marketing power (and wallets) of Zumiez was behind it, and it would go off rain or shine. I said I could see the autographs happening but not much else. Well I guess the contest and demo did go off. I heard locals were sliding out all over the place. Right, and there were live bands playing too. As a side note, I heard there was some sort of ramp demo put on by Capri Sun last weekend at the Rose Festival.

Masked reader “GN” sent in some pictures that he seems almost embarrassed by, but secretly I think he’s going to be tickled to see them up. He aslo said there are better ones on the Zumiez site, and there are, complete with video.

Shopping! They’ve got a whole line of gear just fro the Couch Tour.

  • Did Carroll touch the bowls? or did he try to hide his vert skater past from the masses?

  • Goonhaven.

  • I had forgotten that the vast majority of skaters skate this type of terrain. I am out of touch. I feel the same way when ever I get stuck at the mall! lol.

Wow, I can’t believe Zumiez covered the park with all their crap! That’s lame!

  • I went for a few minutes and…Oh my! What a spectacle! I saw the final 8 of the am contest and it was sprinkling but most were still killing it.
