A potential meeting of tribes, if you will. Longboarders converge on the Burnside (the skatepark) after bombing Burnside, the hill. It starts at the crack of dawn, which is why you probably won’t see any coverage here, even though it sounds like a lot of fun. My wife gets to sleep in on her birthday. the race was awesome! 10 people showed up and we bombed the hill around 5:30 am. one guy ate shit and got a little road rash(but that’s to be expected). once it was done we had the burnside skatepark to ourselves for a couple hours. good times!

I heard that they’re keeping the drawbridge open like that for some high-flyin’ longboard-method-air, jump-ramp action. Rescue boats will be on hand. Should be rad.
