Pistols skate shop

Eyes wide shut at Pistols

I tagged along on a trip to Pistols Skate Shop in Vancouver, Washington last week. I shot a few snaps while managing my kid, and managing to catch Cody Weaver four times in a row with his eyes closed. Of course, that could have had something to do with the flash, except nobody else had closed eyes in the photos. Makes sense though, cause Cody makes it look as easy as if he was asleep.

Pistols has a mini ramp sunk into the floor. You can skate it for free. On one side is a stage where they have bands play. On the other side is the skate shop. The place looks like a sketchy crack den from the outside, but everyone is friendly on the inside. Right now they are working on acquiring a much larger space to build a proper indoor skatepark (possibly concrete!) as well as music venue and restaurant, etc…

Does your skateboard company owner actually skate? This one does. Colin.

WTF is it? I live in the ‘couve..news to me.
I can’t find a listing for it either.
And the myspace offers no info useful.

  2. 2305 E 5th Street, Vancouver, WA 98686. I searched for Pistols Skate Shop Vancouver and came up with a mention of one of their shows. Pistols Skate Shop MySpace page.

  3. What the fuck?! I thought Gar moved to Cali or something a few years back. He’s my old neighbor from the Couvs west side. I met him and Max long enough to hit some killer sessions and enjoy pie. GAR let me know your alive and in the couve!

  4. Did Gar finally get his knee fixed?

  5. Which one?, and Which time?!

  6. Summer 2006, the time he fell jumping over a fire pit at troy’s.

Speaking of Vancouver, read this and hear the sound of $216 of our tax dollars being pissed away in the time it took to conduct a meeting:

    The Columbian(on-line, home page)today.
I was checking out some news cause some fool robbed a credit union like 60 ft from my house and my daughters school was on lockdown.

I find it amusing that even the writer makes that commissioner sound like an old bitch, even though we all assumed it.

  12. Hateboard huh? I pegged ya as a polite, cleancut folk. What the hell is up. I was stoked to see ya in the pics. I’ll be sure to check out the shop soon. I’m still on the west side. Nothins changed. You? I wouldn’t think so. I’m back boardin more than ever. Lovin it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hit me up stan2interp@gmail.com. Hows Max? Seriously hate to hear about the knee!
