Bozeman Snow Pool

Snow Pool, Bozeman Rules

The deep end of this pool wasn’t all that skate-able, but the shallow end woulda been a lot of fun.  I thought the snow was ironic none-the-less. Straight from Bozeman Montana I bring you some really shitty drunken point-and-shoot pictures. Rumor has it that there is an abandoned half-built hotel there with a sheet metal, sterling silver pool as well, but it’s locked up and I haven’t had time to break in and check it out yet. I do plan on it with my next trip. Even if I don’t find it, I’ve always wanted to get myself into the Bozeman Police Reports. It is one of my life goals. I think they have a 5 year old write them, and they sometimes have some pretty funny stuff in them. My favorite of today, “A dog killed two ducks”.

Yes folks, basically just an excuse to post the amusing ramblings of Skate and Annoy correspondent Damienhialation. The Bozeman Police Reports write up was pretty funny that day. It’s changed since then, but I saved it for reference. “A dog killed two ducks” is a good one, but I prefer the one from the Mother of the 15 year old boy.

March 6, 2008 Bozeman Police Department Reports

The Bozeman Police Department reports for Tuesday included the following:

– A man was found at 2 a.m. unconscious in a parked vehicle along Babcock Street. He had a bloody nose and facial injuries. He was taken to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. He couldn’t recall anything that happened to him after that afternoon. He also couldn’t remember how he was injured.

– A caller wanted police to know that her 15-year-old son was driving around Bozeman while smoking marijuana.

The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office reports for Tuesday included the following:

– A woman on Jackrabbit Lane was concerned about her friend. She also said her friend might have ripped her off after a business deal.

– Wheels, tires and seat covers were stolen from a vehicle parked at a car dealership on Huffine Lane.

– A dog killed two ducks.

my first skateboard ever came from world boards in bozeman. that’s crazy to see an empty pool there! i remember reading the police reports when i lived in bozeman. you know you live in a fairly safe town when the police reports talk about a dog killing two ducks.

  • The police blotter in the Lake Oswego paper and Steamboat Springs, Co. Pilot are just like this. I actually find it distracting especially when personel comments are added to them like “What was this guy thinking when he…?”. I have also seen these written in way that is presumed to be entertaining but actually trivialises animal cruelty, mental illness, etc. Totally unprofessional at that point.
