Curb Feeler Art Show By Russ Pope

Your invited to partake in an evening of skate art by the one and only Russ Pope. His quirky renderings of unique characters will instantly become a part of your family. He uses several mediums of canvas, wood, metal and fabric. His pallet of colors come from Lowes or Home Depot. He loves the “Sharpie” marker a little more than your average struggling artist.

Russ Pope- Father of Scarecrow and Creature brands, gave CCS a customer service gameplan, worked on the Savier Footwear Marketing Team, as well as the struggling DuFFS program, he’s the guy who did wonders for Black Label by creating ad campaigns, softgoods & finding team riders. His most recent venture is Beloe Footwear and Myrtle.

The show is located at Evo on 122 NW 36th St in Seattle WA- its a great excuse to go skate about 13 skateparks in the area. Indoor or Outdoor- rain or shine. Go! Its really close to the Ballard Bowl for a reference.

  1. Beloe Footwear? Who keeps handing out money for everyone to start up all these fly by night shoe companies? Seriously, I like Russ’ artwork but the shoe company shit is getting really watered down. Do we really need another shoe company? It’s like the interent an everyone sticking an “i” in front of thier products. With the skate world its shoe companies.

  2. That’s why we have all the industry big wigs with connections writing for SnA. I never knew all that stuff about Russ. Those Myrtle high tops are kind of crazy looking, like wrestling shoes for special ed kids. If I thought I could pull it off I might wear a pair, you know, for stepping out.

  3. evogear?

    grrrr…

    they are my work’s competition.

  4. 13 skateparks in the seattle area? This is news to me!

  5. Eric runs the skate shop at Evo. One of my best friends for a long time. He doesn’t have anything to do with the snow stuff or the business decisions, and he’s risked alot personally to give it a go.

I don’t know nothin bout snowboarding.. I just know he’s trying his best and deserves our support. He’s built a pretty cool shop.

  6. WHERE DID THOSE COMMENTS GO? — with the consent of and at the request of a few users, I have removed a thread of comments in this post, and as a result, I also removed a few that no longer made any sense as they were direct responses to comments that have been removed.

Conahan has implemented the “final solution” to the annoying comments problem!

  9. I agree with houseofneil all or nothing.

  10. Art show by a guy who has done a lot of work in the skateboard industry. Somebody else knows people at one of the sponsors, which is a skateshop. What doesn’t make sense?

Move a long folks. Nothing to see here.

  11. Yeah, Russ Pope but I got curious about those comments I didn’t get to see. Thats all.
