10 year old hard ass needs sponsorship
I’ve got a son that’s just over two years old. Since he could walk he’s been climbing all over the skateboards that I leave lying around the house. He’s got fingerboards that he likes to play with like other kids play with toy cars, which he has too. I just started taking him to the Saturday morning 14 and under time slot at our local indoor spot, the Department. I get odd looks when I bring him there, but I’m not pushing him to be the next Tony Hawk. He likes playing around on skateboards, and he likes watching kids skate. If we are there for an hour, he’ll maybe spend 10 minutes max actually trying to skate on his own. It’s mostly a way to get him out of the house and give his mom a little break once a week. Why am I telling you this? I found this discussion about stage dads in skateboarding, AKA skate dads. It was instigated by a sponsor me video, or more accurately, a sponsor-him video for a 10 year old kid supposedly put together by a friend of the kid’s dad. It’s pretty funny because it’s got all this aggro heavy music with swearing as a soundtrack for a little kid’s video. I guess that’s what happens when you get a guy who calls himself Skull Crusher to do your video. And just to prove that no matter how young you start them, someone will always be starting younger: there’s another video of a one year old kid monkeying around on a skateboard. Yeah, he’s hanging 10 on the nose, hardwood floors and not eating it.
Skull Crusher Presentz
The wee one.
The Next Tony Hawk – Watch more free videos
The best part of that video is the Evel Knevel 1080 cone garbage can dare devil launch. Besides that to many cuts makes it seem like the kid never lands anything. Which from an experinced skaters point of view I know to be untrue. I think some different camera angels and shot follw through and better frming of the subject could really do this kid some fly out justice.
Ugh! That was HORRIBLE! The kid has NO CHANCE of being sponsored as long as SkullCrusher is doing his videos… I couldn’t even finish watching it, and I actually dig watchin’ groms skate better than me… Skully needs to spend less time on editing and credits (a minute and a half at the BEGINNING? WTF) and more time on shooting technique… seriously tryin’ to pass dat chit off as “professional?” That was awful… I’m leavin’ to read 2 minutes of MC comics to offset that bs…
my dead grandmother can film better than this guy
I hope Skull Crusher is also 10. Thats the only way that horrible filming can be justified.
Skullcrusher has an awesome web site:
skullcrusherproductions.com
ditto, ditto and ditto. early grab bail shots that are out of frame do not make a good video. I feel sorry that this kid has this assclown promoting him.
For the 1 year old I’m calling bullshit. Tighten the screws on your tv tray so your laptop doesn’t fall over instead of your wheels…
griptape + the sensitive bare feet of a one year old = not a good idea at all
kill it with fire please.
I think skullcrusher should stop usin the XL1 to shoot vids. Needs to invest in a wide angle lens, Talent…
As randy said, skullcrusher has a website equally as rad as his filming… I’m putting my camera away forever after seeing that gem.
Skull Crusher why is your kid just wearing a diaper?
I think the video would rock with some wiggles in the background..
(925) 577-1414 please call up and give me your feedback via phone….You pussies always rant and bitch about stuff give me a call and be a man and put your money where your mouth is… (925) 577-1414
WTF? Are you “Skull Crusher”? What if we want to fax you our feedback?
Someone should make a compilation of the worst “sponsor me” videos.
I particularly liked the 90 second semi-literate type crawl before we ever got to the skateboarding.
I think he is trying to get the concrete sponsored, as there is more in frame of the concrete than that kid. Maybe all the text was for something else.
Father of Year for Sure…
Can the kid be the annoying kid of the month? because dad is annoying?
no chance to get the bills. below the average.
