Xmas ornaments
Wow, that was fast. No sooner do I post about not finding any new skateboard-themed Christmas ornaments this year, then Paige sends me three links. There are nine ornaments after the jump, plus a ton from last year as well.
Skateboarding Christmas tree ornaments 2007
New this year:
The skateboarding moose! He’s no Bullwinkle, but he’s still kind of funny. From the Montana Gift Corral – $5.25 on sale.
These next two come from Fun-christmas-ornaments.com, and I do believe the female skateboarding ornament is a first. She even looks like she’s actually doing something compared to her male counterpart. – $15.95 for the set.
Also from Fun-christmas-ornaments.com, these skateboard only ornaments are typically craptacular. The Daily Grind ornament hopefully looks better from a different angle. It’s one of those concepts that didn’t translate well to reality.
Here we have this no doubt unlicensed Tony Hawk ornament. It sold on eBay for $3.50.
Tony Hawk #5 skateboarder Christmas ornament! High quality plastic. Measures approx. 2.5″ Long & 2″ high. Tony hawk figure in full boarders gear. Wheels turn freely. Excellent condition. A nice surprise to put on the tree for the budding skateboard champion in your family!
Gah! Is this Really supposed to be Tony Hawk? If so it looks like it was modeled after an imaginary guest appearance as a ghoul on Scooby Doo. I think this seller is just taking found items, drilling a tiny hole in them and then tying on little fancy string. They also have a “Tony Hawk moto cross dirt bike christmas ornament” that must have come from a happy meal or something.
And wait, three more skateboarding ornaments from the set. (1, 2, 3) They all say Tony Hawk on them, but they look even less like him than the first one. If that guy on the left had a yellow helmet I’d say he was a dead ringer for Andy Macdonald. The rest kind of look like angry monkeys or cave men.
Lastly, from a catalog I got in the mail this year. I can’t tell you which one because I tore the page out and there’s no hint on either side. You can get Salvotore’s name replaced with your own for $12.95. He appeared last year, as well.
