Willamette Week: Tigard is Rogue of the Week

Rogue of the (Willamette) week

The Portland weekly free paper Willamette Week, or W Week as it’s now called, has picked up on the issue of the City of Tigard’s skatepark rule that would seem to be contrary to the U.S. Constitution. This week’s Rogue of the Week is the City of Tigard. Way down at the bottom of the article they mention yours (ours?) truly…

At skateandannoy.com, bloggers have posted rants and cartoons mocking the rule, and a plea for $5 donations to make stickers opposing it. Our check’s in the mail.

I hate being referred to as a blogger, but if it helps get more donations then that’s OK. Currently we collected $35, which is about a third of what we’d like to be at. And actually, most of the donations are from distant geographical areas, so let’s step it up Oregonians! We’ll let you know if the WWeek follows through on their promise to donate. Thanks to D.T. for the plant and many others for the tip off.

Yeah, you can read the Rogue of the Week online, but we like to over-document around here. If you end up commenting on the WWeek site, please keep it civil and intelligent so we don’t lose sympathy for the cause.

sleestak and bobcat rock, this (I think) is Portland’s answer to sleestak….I like it. I love all you guys. I just get so full of piss and vinegor. I apolgize for being such a DICK. I am sincere in what I type. Hope to see you all Nov. 8th at Tigard. I will be the phat old guy balding kick turning the shit out of those trany’s

  • Wow, this is just like sleestak.

  • Dick Cancer

ssk, you say I am correct in that judges are elected and then you have to add “not all of them” well, la dee da… I vote and how do you come up with “obviously don’t vote” YOU are spouting shit out your mouth. JPK, why not protest rule #3. at the grand opening. YOU guys have obviously found something to complain about…Some of you sound like the little whiny bitches at the park that say “there’s no street here and I don’t like vert”
Go skate! shut your phucking hole unless you plan on putting your money where your mouth is.

  • Hey enema combatant, what about challenging a cop about violating your Constitutional rights is kissing their ass? Dick Cancer, judges are elected, not all of them, but a lot of them. You obviously don’t vote.

You both can suck it. Power to the people.

  • Hey Dick Cancer, why would we protest the grand opening?

  • enemy combatant

WRONG. You don’t need to carry id. You need to have a valid drivers license in your possession only if you are operating a motor vehicle.

  • Dick Cancer

ssk go take a hike. YOU move to china, they have the largest skatepark in the world. Stick that in you arse and smoke it. I’m sorry, I’ve never voted for a judge, because Judges are appointed you pole smokin, sk8trights geek. Rights are for eveyone not just for Skaters.. Here’s another one, when a officer of the law starts asking questions, he’s investigating, and WE ALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT. We do have to comply with the law and provide them with our valid ID but that’s were the buck stops. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY NOTHING MORE….except maybe “Am I under arrest”, and if not under arrest and you check out after they run your ID, simply ask “am I FREE to go?” Keep on Truckin and obey traffic laws on your bike.

  • enemy combatant

The oppressive “war” on terror is spreading. I got stopped (for no legal reason) riding my bike through Lake Oswego the other night and the cop wanted to search my backpack for “stuff stolen from the Plaid Pantry” recently. I refused his request. He then asked me if I had any illegal drugs in it. I wisely said no and he let me go.

The oinkers in L.O. must be co-ordinating with the fascist pigs in Tigard. They can all go fuck themselves.

Cops are all a bunch of shithead authoritarian bastards and I say fuck you to all the people like ssk who kiss their ass.

  • (Flaaaame waaaar : )
    As if you

  • Dick Cancer

Stick those stickers up your arse…Cops only enforce laws on the books. Lawyers and Judges are the ones who protect our Constitutional Rights. And it’s up to us The People to elect the right judges. You old kooks always have something to complain about don’t you? Get real. Shut the phuck up and go skate! Protest the Grand Opening November 8th. Bring it on kooks.
