  • I’m trying to get one of my comics into the most commented list.

    Jesus Kilwag Blvd.

  • A

“Jesus Kilwag” – I like the sound of that.

Stop typing.. la la la la la la

  • And a newspaper would probably require consistent quality from my comic strip. No chance.

But, then, how would my endless walls of text fit onto a single page of letters to the editor? Also the research and refinement you mention just sounds like more responsiblity on the poster’s behalf. Nah,it just wouldn’t work, Conahan.

  • I’m thinking of switching back to print base media and letter writing. Nobody would ever send a letter to the editor of a print publication without serious contemplation of the issues backed by rigorous research and several drafts refining one

  • Jesus kilwag, I’m trying to support you over here, but threads go from silly to indecipherable in no time flat.

Please people, this is the Internet! I won’t tolerate any joking or sarcasm!

Mr(s). Bailgun: 6-0, 6-0 is game, set, and match. Tally-ho!

Oh boy, WTF is this? I cringe through these debates…
There is no such thing as a productive or educated debate on steet vs tranny.
Skateboarding is so fucking rad, it has offered so many, so much, on countless levels. It’s almost indescribable. So lets reduce it down to a zealous face off of “tranny skaters vs. “street skaters”, like a couple of shitty gangs in San Jose or something. When I see this crap, the video for “Beat it” comes to mind, and pretty much sums up the validity for this type of arguement.
    There is no debate.
You think fruitbooters are screaming at each other on message boards over big boots or little wheels?
Or grabbing your toes off vert jumps vs. hitting long rails in baggy raver pants? Probabaly not.
Since both types of skate terrain directly involve skateboarding there is no debate over what should define skating, as they are both options.
Take advantage of the gift and get the most out of it.
This of course excludes megaramps and Bob Burnquist, thats shit is just lame.(insert sarcasm)

  • I thought about doing it like this but that would have meant doing an extra comic this week.

    game, set, and match.

Gee, I get criticized when I make fun of longboarders, I get criticized when I give tranny skaters shit about their opposition to Ed Benedict Park, and now your giving me a hard time about insulting all the street geeks.

I just can’t win around here. Piss on all of you!!! I’m just going to go off by myself and practice nose wheelies and 360’s.

EC’s statement is puzzling me too. Does that mean vert skaters are smart jocks that listen to hip hop? I Iike tranny (as much as Eddie Murphy) but prefer punk rock and hate organized sports, except that I spend three days of my year engrossed in the Oregon Ttrifecta. I like stairs in the shallow end and I’m excited about the new street plaza being built in Portland.

Both of these cartoons (Exhibit A, and B) need to be seen side by side.

  • enemy combatant-did a street skater fuck your girlfriend or something?

  • Skateboarding is fun.

  • enemy combatant

It must be natural selection, genes interacting with the environment as it were. Not a lot of native intelligence, so there is no point in studying. Not very creative so music and art is a waste of time, punk rock is about all they can aspire to. No athletic ability so they can’t make the sports teams at school. Not very co-ordinated either, they keep cracking their un-helmeted heads failing to make tricks beyond their grasp.

Just about sums up the typical street skater: born dumb and then brain damaged.

  • Ryan Heckler

twenty years from now the current crop of street skaters will still be stoked on good handrails,”dude did you check out the fat kinked rail on the double set?” friend replies,” of course, i used it to hold onto while ascending the stairs.”

  • “I think you mean old guys don

  • A

Old guys don’t like shallow end stairs? I love stairs in the shallow end. I think you mean old guys don’t like tight trannies on the shallow, because they are hard (ON OUR KNEES!)

  • enemy combatant

“My point was that old guys don

  • “It is called sarcasm. He is saying that these are desirable features for fat OG

  • enemy combatant

“Why would you have a big radius and shallow end steps?”

It is called sarcasm. He is saying that these are desirable features for fat OG’s.

  • Nice follow up.

  • Why would you have a big radius and shallow end steps?
If you all had real pool replicas in the NW I think people that like street would dig it.
And, don’t put it in a town of only 450 people.

  • enemy combatant

This is my favorite hill. Butter smooth pavement.

A 450′ drop with a nice set of S-curves and two wicked straights.

No traffic in the middle of the day and a long flat run-out at the end.

Look at all those longboarders bombing the hill. Nobody rides vert or street anymore.
