Tigard getting close

Looks like it’s all poured, some curing concrete under that plastic. Fence work in progress. Click here to see it bigger, Neil, you shouldn’t look, you’ll just get riled. Crappy little Tualatin is just down the road.

Aging Barnies put their hip pads on in the parking lot, and leave them in until they get in the car to go home.

  • skatebroke

damn that looks rad…where will the aging barnies put their hip pads in between runs though?

The Real Dick Cancer here…some other kook is taking my handle…To Johnny leigh boy, Seaside is cool, but to say it’s Blowin UP! is really an overstatement, it’s nothing compared to Tigard. So Johnny, watch who you are calling pussies, we’ve already skated it. Benji ripped it up openning day and tore it a new one. I skated it and thought that one pocket with killer vert was awesome. Here’s one for all you vert Lovers…check out VOX shoes and there’s a special tribute to Dreamland and it has some AWESOME footage of someones private bowl??? Tigard is to much for me because I’m such a pussy licker I can’t get kick turns down on transition. Phuc YOU dick cancer, you kook.

    or skatepark de-evolution.

    bonus either way.

  • a sadlands-style replica with more dinosaurs would be the next logical step in skatepark evolution

  • I wanna make out with the dino 🙂

  • Johnny Leigh BOY

For what it’s worth, I’ve eyeballed this place in person and my pre-session view says this is the skatepark equivalent of a Sonic Youth record. There’s no questioning the talent of the team, they have a commitment to following their own artistic instincts, a handful of die-hards will swear by this place, and many more will have little to no interest in this park. For those willing and able to skate tranny, this place will push boundaries. For everyone else, Tigard won’t be your spot. I’d like see Trujillo roll this place.

  • from city of tigard website:
    10/16 skatepark opens
    grand opening ceremony November 8th

  • hmmmm….
i can skate in that thing right? good enough.
even though ledge-a-ma-things in corners arent really what im into.

  • Because we know there are no corners in a street section. I think he means the big hubba or ledge. that is definately going to be in the way as I gyrate some gnarly surf soul carves around the edges of the street area.

  • theres no rail in the middle of a corner…

  • Grand opening ceremony November 6 but they may open for use before then. Straight from the horse’s mouth. Dreamlands walkthrough/signoff next Friday!

  • good thing it was DL and not purkiss rose or wormy that put the rail down the middle of a corner. it sucks when those other guys do it!

  • drotownlocal

YALL IN PORTLAND ARE PUTTIN IT DOWN!!!! HELLS YEAH.

  • Err…I’m having trouble getting a feel for the park. Can you do me a favor and take 47 detailed shots of every angle and then take video of someone riding it please? OH…and can you please post the address and when the grand opening is?

    Thanks…. 😉

  • corncobcock

    where’s the pickle exchanger?

  • nweyesk8

it seems like a lot less area for street than the original design called for.

  • Viva Dreamland and to Tigard for allowing them a little creative license. This place is going to be a lot of folks new favorite park.

  • Wide angle photo but the flat left to right is almost 40 feet. I hope everyone decides to stay away, more for me.

  • A

Is the “street” area just a big pit? Or is it just the way the picture shows it? I’ll reserve judgement until I see it in person, but seems a bit off .

  • A

What? Tualitin is the best park this side of the old Pier Park, or the old Vancouver park.

  • Dick Cancer

Its done let’s call the dirty Czech, and session.
