Vancouver Washington Skatepark Policy Meeting
A skatepark policy meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 7 p.m. at Fisher’s Grange Hall, located at 814 NE 162nd Avenue (just a few blocks from Pacific Park). Vancouver Washington area skaters should turn up for this meeting. Multiple sources report that the other meetings were 90% BMXers, which is great for them and embarrassing for skateboarders, especially considering the history of skater activism involvement in nearby Portland.
Besides, when’s the last time you were asked to help make the rules at a skatepark?
Vancouver Washington Park Meeting
In the words of Clark County Parks:
Why come to the meeting?
Find out when the park will open exactly
Help write the RULES for the park
Discuss how the park could be operated in the future
See the latest construction photos
Learn about PHASE 2Â and how to get it built
Talk to the contractor, and other local skaters and BMXers
Find out about other skateboarding and BMX projects planned for the future
There will be free pizza
OK, sounds good, (especially free pizza) but I have to disagree with the item that says See the latest construction photos because I’m pretty sure you’d find the latest visual aids here instead.

Well, now that I know there’s going to be pizza, I’ll definitely be there. Haha. I waited 3 damn years for this park and now it’s here. Already skated it but I was hoping for more. I remember they were actually suppose to have more. Whatever, I guess this year is going to be awesome now that we have our own local park and we wont have to drive around to others or skate the Taco(Mill Plain, police station, little concrete kind of quarterpipe and a ledge).
