  • a few of us from roseburg/sutherlin have been to pier park 3 times in the lat week or so (today, wednesday and last sunday) we like the small all the way up to the big gnar gnar. we mixed it up pretty good this weekend(reedsport, florence, waldport, toledo, lincoln city, the other mcminville park, glenhaven, burnside, battle ground, pier park, west linn and albany. yeee haaa!!!!!!) I guess we keep missing you at pier.

what about newbergs vert ramp? ryan and i have been riding it alone. I started learning frontside nollie to frontside air yesterday and recently landed caballero to disaster. Whenever I ride Pier, I find myself ignoring the full pipe and shallow end. It is a vert ramp if you want it to be. lets ride Newberg tuesday evening?

  • We should build a replica of the CHIN ramp. Now that would be sick.

  • that’s what i was thinkin, vert ramp.

  • We should mix it up. I love having Pier but it’s also nice to have that Glenhaven peanut bowl two miles up the road. Now about that vert ramp….

  • Pier is one of the best bowls on the planet . If we could all be so lucky to have that in our town. Keep building bigger parks !!!

  • I LOVE SKATEBOARDING. but i hate gnarley bowls

  • Pier’s Gnarly?

Try doing big airs in the round bowl at Burnside…dude, that’s gnarly.

Pier is like a dream boat, float like a feather and smooth as butter.

  • Gnar snob. (but you’ve earned it)

  • Every park should have a gnarly bowl so I can show up at any park and be guaranteed an uncrowded session.

  • The guilty flee where none pursue, Marek. Just kidding.

  • that doesnt mean id take pier from you, mark. id jsut say that you have enough already… 🙂

  • i just want to prevent building of another gnarly bowl in portland. thats why im using word “useless” . its not useless. its great and if it would be full of people sessioning the shit out of it id probably skate it much more. but it isnt so its kinda hard for me to warm up to it… im just trying to say that im not scared:)

  • john aguilar

    i agree with señor nweyesk8!!!!

  • Keep thinking that. BMXers and children can have all the rest. Pier is mine.

  • nweyesk8

its not useless, people are scared to skate outside their comfort zone and push their personal limits

  • exactly. 11 feet of useless concrete. i do like to skate once in a while but lets not build anything like that around here. and, please, dont ever cover pier…
