Battle Ground grand opening:
The Red Badge of Courage
I didn’t get a ton of great shots, but I think I did get heat exhaustion. Anyone who braved the crowds and heat last Saturday for Battle Ground’s grand opening definitely deserves the Red Badge of Courage. That place was packed solid, but you could still get your runs in the bowl while everyone else had their attention focused towards the cradle and deep end. now is as good a time as any to ask if there are any fellow Nikon D-70 shooters out there who are constantly bumping their shutter speed selection dials. I fell victim again but fortunately caught it after a while. Don’t worry, you’ll still get to see action in all it’s blurry glory. Joking aside, this is one serious design flaw with that camera. Anyone? Anyone?

Thrasher has good video here.
Nice post dude. The blur isn’t too bad. Did you get any shots in the street area?
Benji OMG!!! Can that guys shred a park or what? Loved the haircut too.
thanks for the pix.
No street area shots or I would have included them for sure. Believe it or not, I was more interested in skating the street area. Also, I didn’t get to Battleground until around 1:00, so I missed a lot of the action.
When are the EPM shots going up? Foto Friday? Did you get any street shots?
I’m totally serious about wanting more street coverage on SnA. I just don’t want to be the one to do it.
So I guess one shot I thought was Benji is actually Jesse Neslon. It appears that Lib Tech has a revolving door funneling riders to Bacon now.
The Battle Ground skate board park has been a smashing hit. Your pics are great. Very well done.
