Yeah, Hell’s Angels love us.
Emerica had a tour this summer where they travelled the whole thing on Harley-Davidson motorcycles for no other discernible reason than it was a chance for extra publicity. Well that, and I’m sure it was, you know, fun. Harley-Davidson stepped up to milk it for themselves by hosting the video and pictures, all the while being careful to note that “Harley-Davidson is not affiliated with these photos or the development of this video and is not responsible for the content or views expressed in it.” What a bunch of rebels!
Here’s the blurb from the Harley Davidson web site:
The feeling you get from a Harley® is hard to explain. It reaches deep down in your soul and alters your take on certain things. You become part of something bigger − a brotherhood and sisterhood whose approach to life can’t be fenced in.
Skateboarders are like the people who ride our bikes. Unbreakable is in the blood. A never-say-quit attitude is in the creed. And this summer, bikes and boards came together when a number of the world’s best skaters grabbed some iron and rumbled across America’s Heartland for Team Emerica’s Wild Ride − the fully interactive professional skateboarding tour on Harley-Davidson® motorcycles.
The Emerica Wild Ride 2006 video is well done with some slick production (designed to make it look rough, of course), plenty of Easy Rider visual references and of course skateboarding. The photo gallery is just a bunch of shots of the guys hanging out on their motorcycles.
And of course, I poached this from The Skateboard Mag.
