i think the juxtaposition of the flowers with the skull are relating a feeling of malaise. the beard expounds that the artist is feeling trapped within a web of his/her own doing. the cigar motif is a social discourse on the desintegration of the american psyche. BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
