It’s been a while since I’ve ridden the thing though… when I think back I can kind of remember the sense of exhilaration, the feeling of radical self-expression when taken to a new and different zone. Yes, it’s coming back to me now that you’ve returned my consciousness to this subject matter… this issue of skateboarding. Absolutely, it’s an issue now that I think about it; the ‘Cloud-Nine’ deck that is front-and-center in my arsenal and which is the item in question here, is after all, designed for more of a downhill environment. And while my arsenal does contain a well conceived downhill set-up with large diameter, soft durometer wheels; quick acting, tight turning Randal trucks and a lengthy, high functioning deck of common length for the typical hill-bomber-board, I have this other board… a secret weapon.

It’s a skateboard of unusual componentry, given its intended application zone i.e., a vertical environment. It’s unusual because in scientific terms it represents ‘cross pollination’… the blending of specializations, the redistribution of wealth and ideas; the pursuit of happiness, truth, justice and liberty! By-God-Man, it’s a skateboard after all! While it possesses the systems of the downhill set-up mentioned above, it has two fundamental, noticeably different assembly aspects. These are: sixty-four millimeter wheels, poured of a pool formula, and a narrowing refinement of the skate deck proportions. Taken in their entirety, these contrasting design characteristics, which would normally be contradictory in their environments of origin, enable this particular tool to successfully perform the process of quieting my vertical urge.

So thanks a lot for the opportunity to express my inner thoughts and feelings on this endearing activity and it’s instrument. But for now, I must return to career endeavors, to greater love for humanity, to self-realization through dance, to inner spiritual alignment and to democracy.

Translation: What Miles is trying to say is that he set up this Sector Nine Coat of Arms board with Powell Pool Formula wheels and he uses this stick as his primary vert/pool board, even though it is designed as a downhill deck. Does it work? As you can see in the pictures above, it works quite well in Miles’ capable hands. – Ed

Yeah, I’ll write’ya a little something about the Sector 9 action machine of mine.
