These guys have been at it for several years now, and at this point they have it down to a science. For some bands that could be the kiss of death and the start of mediocrity. Not so with the Groovie Ghoulies. Go! Stories<\/em> is 14 songs of fun pop-punk in the vein of the Ramones but leaning towards the subject matter of the Misfits, that is if the Misfits were on a Saturday morning cartoon. It starts off with a bang – “Let\u2019s do it again” is exactly what they did. Other standouts include “School is in”, “Doin\u2019 Fine”, “Kick Ass” and a good cover of the Super Furry Animal\u2019s “Chupacabras.” Yeah, it\u2019s about that weird goat eating bat-monster creature flying around Central America and attacking people. A sense of humor is key here. They answer their own question on “Are You Passionate?” The cover artwork is great too. I won\u2019t elaborate any further except to say that if you don\u2019t like this record , you are a boring jerk. That\u2019s right – I said “you are a boring jerk.”<\/p>\n
