Omnitech Skateboards from South Boston, Va. Wow. These guys took out a two page spread in Transworld magazine with typography that looks like it came from a Mac 128k<\/a>. The two shapes are pretty awful. One looks like a half started Mark Lake Nightmare and the other, well, it’s almost ok for the time period, but they both look like the work of a first time shaper. With names like the Entropy and the Omni Alpha and those remedial graphics, it’s no wonder you probably don’t remember these, despite designer Thom Coates best efforts. It was a poor decision to not show an Omnitech board actually being used, and other to only sell them as completes. The sales pitch stresses quality over hype, but what a tough sell this is.<\/p>\n

We believe that the money you spend on a skateboard should to into constructing the deck of stronger, higher quality material and not into printing cartoons on the back of it. <\/p>\n
