ACS – It’s time You Knew
Kryptonics rips on wheels with “cute” names. I see Sims Snakes, OJ’s, Bones, Bennett Alligators, and G&S Yo-Yos. This plants are probably a reference to Weed Wheels. What about that Cylon Raider spaceship? UFO? Is the Snake coming out of a Tunnel?

Dear Dale and Rick.
Yes, we are working on a new wide truck – the Lite I and ACS 800, both with 8 inch axles. Since you were interested enough to write, here are the details.
Because wide trucks cause extra stress at the to and cushior support areas, these areas are “beefed up”.
There’s a high grinder bar that will prevent king pin hangups, as well as extend hanger life.
A new base plate design provides a smooth rear truck transition from the skateboard deck to the bottom of the lower cushion and cup washer.
The axle is grade 8 alloy steel.
Lite II, made of Ultralite alloy (over 90% magnesium) will be lighter than conventional mid-width trucks.
The ACS 800 is heat
treated aluminum. Both have undergone extensive design, testing and modication to insure they wil withstand al the punishment hot riders can give them.
Doug “Pineapple” Saladino and Steve Cathey were our chief testers and consultants. Making a truck to satisfy their requirements has been a real challenge and worthwhile project.
They’ll satisfy you, too. Watch for the new ACS trucks in ’79.
Sincerely,
Amy Stephens
