Snoopy has been known to ride a skateboard or two, at least on shirts and toys. This may be the first time he’s ever appeared in animated form on skateboard. He’s A Bully, Charlie Brown aired over the Thanksgiving weekend to little fanfare. The copyright is 2006 and though already deceased, Charles Schultz is listed as a producer. I was going to make this kid the annoying kid of the month, but I dug his attitude and homemade board with an 80’s fish shape and no kicktail whatsoever. Completely flat. He rolled into the mouse hole and rode around doing those weird turning airs that come with the skyhooks territory, except he had the home made kind made from an innertube. That’s one of the oldest tricks in the book, and it made me smile. When I looked at pictures I noticed that due to the layout of the park, I almost caught a nice kickflip picture in the background by accident. Check it out after the jump.

All those earlier injury and death posts got you bummed out? It’s never funny when someone get’s hurt. Unless they are rollerbladers or skateboarders climbing on electric trains.

Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy! I’ve been asking for this for months now. This is the holy grail of 70’s wacky commercial skateboard exploitation. They actually advertised these in Skateboarder. I’ve never seen one in person but I remember seeing them in ads. Even though they looked completely ridiculous, I always wanted one for their sheer absurd nature, just to prove they exist. This is the must watch skate video of the week. It’s amusing, and not nearly as creepy as these screen captures would lead you to believe. Please, let’s not turn this into a predictable tirade about how this makes fun of girls who skateboard, because it doesn’t. Sometimes things are just funny. I have no idea where this is from, or if the Japanese is legit, because the account has been suspended, but it’s still available on a German site. Update: That was fast. in the time it took to screen capture the vid it was gone as soon as I posted it, before I could save it. If anyone finds it again, let me know. In the same month that grover learned to do these flyout benihanas at Newberg a couple of years ago, not one, but two major skateboarding magazines made fun of them in print. I believe it was Transworld and Thrasher. I used to have them saved but by now the pile has grown so large, it will take forever to find them. Fortunately for Steve, I cut off his head in this picture so nobody will know who he is. Oops! That’s OK. He’ be more embarrassed to be seen wearing a shirt with the logo for that extra heinous surf shop that he used to work for. You can still spot Steve doing these all the time, usually accompanied by a loud outburst designed to draw more attention to himself.

And a whole lot of corn syrup! Now that I have a kid I have to start paying attention to these so-called fruit snacks, which are usually nothing more than a nominal amount of fruit inside a wad of something slightly less soluble than horse hooves.
