We’ve got some shots of the newly finished Dreamland creation in Harrisburg, Oregon skatepark courtesy of Ryan Hass. It’s a 10,000 square foot facility, which is roughly three square feet per citizen of Harrisburg! It’s set to open on Sunday December 7th at 2:00pm. The location is on the south side of Smith Street, between […]
I missed posting this in time, but apparently Rockwell Park in Bristol, Connecticut opened on Sunday. It’s an 18,000 SF street plaza and bowl built by California Skateparks. It’s open 24-7, no fee to skate and bike-free as well. ESPN was supposed to throw a party. – Thanks to Bill Helene for sending in these pre-bash […]
Shortly before going off his medication, Colin Walsh sent in a couple pics and a short write up about a fundraiser/contest for the Benton County Skate Alliance (B.C.S.A.). The skate shots are decent, Collin. Maybe you should channel your energy in that direction instead of harassing the people that you want to have posting the […]
The Eastern Oregonian reports that the 11,000 square foot Pendleton skatepark is complete and ready to open Saturday, October 18 and 19th. Check the schedule for Grand opening events all weekend because open skate hours are limited. Check out an extensive construction slideshow at Pendleton Parks and Recreation’s skatepark page.
Two years have passed since the Pier Park grand reopening. The weather was pretty miserable for opening day but today was beautiful. 67 degrees and sunny, no wind. Check the phonecam panorama after the turn. Pretty quiet out there but I had fun anyway.
Alvie might be the original skateboarding dog. It predates Lance’s nemesis in the Powell vid and Tyson by a long shot. This photo of Alvie is from 1980, and I found it on the photo page of the 30 year reunion of Olympic Skatepark in Olympia, Washington, over at Northwest Skater. Olympic is long gone, […]
I get sent a lot of contest results and tour coverage articles from various companies and I usually don’t bother to post about them, but I liked the photography in the examples from this write up of Volcom’s Wild in the Park Sweden stop. Maybe you will too. Maybe I just have a thing for […]
Sessions presents the 10th annual Tim Brauch Memorial Contest is being held this weekend at Lake Cunningham Regional Skate park in San Jose. We might even have some photos coming to us. I wonder how the documentary is coming.
Slob-Air form Skull and Bones Skateboarding forum has posted a ton of images from the ASR show. Looks like neon is going to be big again in 2009. I guess that only took 15 years or so to recycle. Speaking of recycle, there’s tons of pics of old boards, old pros and new reissues, plus […]
