Stroker Trucks
It’s hard to believe that the parties involved in making the infamous Stroker trucks went on to build Independent, a brand that by any metric inspired loyalty above and beyond anything else in the skateboard industry. Check out some painful over-engineering after the jump.
Check out the build sheet diagram that came with the original trucks, courtesy of Jim Abbott. They have been cleaned up a bit.
The images below are from an Ebay auction from an appropriately named user called Skatehoarder. Ironically, some of the first pics that came up in an image search were Eaby Watch photos from 2012 or so that hat been scrubbed for Worthpoint, which has lower res versions.
I’ve got Stroker ads to scan somewhere, but until I do, here’s one I found online in an aggregator that has A CalStreets watermark. The gallery links in their main nav are broken at the time of publication, but they do have a lot of good stuff in there if you can manage to find it.
Does anybody know where I can find a pair of stroker trucks? They can be used and they can be an aftermarket variant. Thanks very much,
Mike
Hi,
Just bought what I am hoping for a close variant as far as turning. The mechanics of it is different but looks like approximately the same turning radius. They’re called Type Zero V1. Grabbed a set for $200 USD. today. I make Slalom boards and need a truck that turns sharp like Radicals but different . Will try to get back.to get back
