Skate stoppers on an effing curb????

2013 started off in the crapper for me. I’m just now emerging from a fog of strep throat that has had me laid up since New Year’s day. Here’s hoping your new year is better than the promise of a slick red curb covered in skate stoppers. Absurd Family Skate photo on Instagram. Hey! Get off my curb man!

  • Why?!! That is cold! If that curb is public property those stoppers might even be illegal.

  • Nazi language = deutsch…….. if you know it and you know the mentality there, no need for explanations. In 2013 it’s no longer the jews as “bad guys”….. it’s now all guys, but especially dads (like me).
    Using the word nazi, well it’s really close to the US N word except the nazis are usually too much of sissies to “do something about it” whereas blacks definitely aren’t sissies and will “do something”.

      My bad. I forgot that [niemand] it’s also the exact same word in dutch. One of those few exceptions. Thanks for explaining. Back to skating now!

  • Did anybody else used to argue in high school about the comparative slickness of red vs. yellow curbs?

    • We did, bt then we discovered the long-gone blue curbs, which were slick as snot.

  • Dutch? Would be nice but…. damn, a coffee shop would be nice now!

    There is ONLY 3 things I will claim here in order;
    1. Human being. (Fing fairy tales about countries…no.. one F’ing planet PERIOD)
    2. Skater. (Proud of that one)
    3. Dad. (Maybe even more proud of that one!)

    Niemand is part of the nazi language, means nobody/noone and I live in a place I call naziland. Why? Reference #3 and no he isn’t german, he is a person and his name is Kilian.
    Born/Raised in SD…….

      What do you mean ‘the nazi language’? I’m almost offended.

  • Dude, that’s vert!

  • Fake? Could be, but I’ve seen the exact same plastic/rubber nazi blocks in SD. Matter of fact, bayside mission beach east of santa clara and bayside walk on the “road” to the island there are lots of red curbs and plenty of the naziblockBSfingThings.

    I’ve seen them things shatter into pieces courtesy of a real slappie, just some extra fun for the session…. but for being BS, they sure are easy to get rid of.

  • Looks fake.
