Hosoi booked
Which is misleading, because he hasn’t been busted, rather he has a book coming out titled Hosoi: My Life As A Skateboarder Junkie Inmate Pastor which is excerpted on the Huffington Post.(?)

There is a beautiful moment in the climbing documentary ‘Touching The Void’ when climber Joe Simpson, in the pit of despair, broken leg, trapped in a deep crevasse, confirms his atheism. Brought up a Catholic he always wondered, if the shit hit the fan, whether he’d say a few Hail Mary’s but no, that experience convinced him that there is nothing after life and gave him the strength and inspiration to carry on, and drag himself on hands and knees in a remote mountain range for days until he reached safety. God is only in American prisons.
Amen (no pun intended)
God also exists on American Highways, though only as a euphemism for “Oh shit, I really hope I’m not about to die in a fiery crushing death,” or “Oh shit, I’m so bummed my loved-one died in a fiery crushing death;” the latter being represented by a ditch-side cross which serves a reminder to fellow motorists to slow the fuck down. And in my experience, the more homemade it is, the greater the effect.
I read this book and my advice is to save your money and watch Block’s excellent doc on Hosoi. Christian’s artistry is in his skating and not in his writing.
“…they worship neither a god or a demon, but a dead man”

thats funny gator found christ before he wasted that poor woman
Now alva has found the lord as well – its a good way to still feel like your the best an know it all. I remember sunday school as a little kid and thinking to myself these are some fake ass people. One life is enough – can u imagine a greater hell than having to live “forever”.
The sudden and unexpected resurgance in popularity of rollerblading? That’s gotta be close anyway.
u know why rollerbladers are so nice?
u try getting punched in the face w/ wheels on!
thanks to scooters i wish rollerbladers never left
I think earth is both Heaven and Hell. Someday’s it’s heaven and other days it’s hell. Everyday when I go to work it’s like I’m in hell for 7.5 hours. When I get out of hell and head to the skate park, it’s like I’m in heaven. Jehovah’s witness protection progam says there will be paradise on earth someday. I think paradise is just a few kicks down the road at a park near you.
