Thanks PepsiCo.

Got to skate the Dew bowl with a bunch of my friends. It’s pretty amazing for a portable structure. About Pier Park size in the deep. Slightly deeper maybe. That’s Andy Macdonald over the hip as Grover digitally records him.

  1. I thought the layout looked kind of boring on paper but seeing it in person, it looked pretty fun. Wish I’d been able to make it out earlier and give it a spin.

      Where’s the pic enlargement?

      1. Just added the enlargement

  2. Give the ramp/ bowl a grade it was built a their plant, set up at two locations and how did it skate? would you want it for your own?

  3. Felt more like skating a bowl than skating a ramp if that’s what you’re after. Looked like some of the seams on the deck opened up over the two days I was there, nothing major. If your builders are skilled, a single in-place pour is going to be better. If you have to use non-expert park builders, modular might be a way to guarantee a good transition. But why not go with one of the great skatepark firms like Dreamland, Grindline or Team Pain? Is it cheaper?

  4. I was wondering about the seams, agreed their are plenty of great park builders out there. This sort of bowl might work out well in a rented warehouse or such.
