Magic Rolling Board

Magic Rolling Board dates back to 1976, and includes everything you’d think it would, like 360’s, gorilla grips, high jumps over sports cars, slalom, long jumps, downhill and even Ed Nadalin, star of the Jeans West commercial. I don’t know that this has ever been rereleased on video, much less DVD. Anyone? Make sure you pay attention at the 3:05 mark for some of the fanciest footwork you’ve ever seen. GOLDEN!

  3. Sausage man! I think it originally appeared as part extended version of the surf movie, Five Summer Stories. There was also a feature in Surfer Magazine.

  4. Damn, I need to work on my gorilla grip!

Yeah, cheesy, but worthwhile for us history buffs.

Yeah this is in Five Summer Stories which is a pretty classic surf video. Speaking of the sausage man Dale Smith, isn’t it intriguing that he “coached” Eddie Elguera and actually came up with the idea of the Elguerial and had to convince him that it could be done.

This is the movie they showed the last day of this bible camp my parents sent me to. The guys cruising that ditch and and eating that overpass in fast motion has stuck with me all these years. This was the first time I saw real skating beyond my friends and me riding at the school yard. It blew my mind and made me want to ride a snake run. Always wondered what movie that was that I saw so long ago. Thanks for solving the mystery!
