Before they were disposable
Reader Owen Williams sent these pics of yard sale find in New Zealand. He paid the equivalent of $50 for this. Check out the wood inlays on this deck.

That is truly awesome !!!
thats way tight i want one to hang up
I want to lick those wheels. Is that wrong?
I’ve never seen one like that. It almost looks like
the inlay on top was done post-production. The bottom
is pretty generic in comparison. Used to be able to find
stuff like that around here. Nice
I have 2 of these, a distributor in the UK had a stack BITD. Each had a different inlay on them some truly beautiful wood working. The trucks on the one shown here are much later than the ones I have, which are a more generic 70s truck.
Taperflex were a waterski manufacturer hence all the beautiful inlays

My first wide board (9″) was a Sims TaperKICK with a beautiful and pointless vertical laminate top and bottom (1979). Anyone know who did this first?
Beautiful indeed.
