Richie Jackson from Ipath

Richie Jackson from Ipath

I haven’t been paying attention to Richie Jackson lately, not through any conscious decision. Like a lot of people, I am a huge fan of his video parts from Death, so I was excited to check this out too. Not too stoked on this Ipath clip, and a big part of it is probably the weak music. I get it, he loves the 60’s, however the soundtrack stokes me like a wet dishrag. Something a little more uptempo might have served him better. No matter, the last ten seconds of the video are worth it.

kinda reminds me of Simon Woodstock, really skillful on a skateboard but usually sporting a clown suit 🙂

Along with Patrick Melcher, he’s one of the most creative guys out there. I love the stuff he skates to, especially his part with The Idle Race’s “Days Of Broken Arrows. I think that was in Death’s “Better Than Life”.

Ah, it was is part in “Escape From Boredom” I was thinking of. That’s the one with the insane slide down the escalator.

I love Richie Jackson. Simply the best.

  9. Wow. The guy actually does the stuff you daydream about.

Could there be a connection between having long hair and a beard and ripping? This dude, Chris Haslam. I think that proves it.

  10. I agree with all the appreciators of Ritchie Jackson. this kid is amazing. I got to dissagree with SSK. there is no way I can even daydream about his tricks. and sadly, long hair and beards never helped me.

How many people think that last trick was on purpose? Since when did goofs, albeit landed, qualify as ender material.

  12. necessity (in this case landing a goofed trick) is the mother of invention. when did it become ok to have it as “enders”? probably back with Jay Adams. if not then, how about now?

I did skate by the satori skate shop on valencia on the way to the bar(zeitgeist) anyway I enjoyed the skatboarding in the video and I like hippy ass 60’s music and crazy ass oi skinhead music as well.
