Weirdo Skateboards

Sponsor Love: Weirdo Skateboards

Rolling out some love for new SnA sponsors. If you are paying attention, Weirdo Skateboards, a Norcal based independent skateboard company will be joining the ranks of our banner advertisers soon. Here’s a shot of the company owner Tom Augusta at the San Jose skatepark. I believe BK is the photog? (UPDATE: Yes, he is.) Bonus shot that was just “too weird” for me, after the jump.

  • I dig the new graphics. I saw “peralta” at glenhaven one day and a couple of people at trifecta riding em(that one kid from vallejo, jamarcus I think and that other guy from sonoma) When are you going to get a cellphone and or answer your god damn home phone TOM?!

  • Tom is down. Super cool, down to earth, and yes….he’s a Lifer.

  • Tom is the man! Thanks to Tom and Weirdo, Skate the Lake has been a huge success!

  • hey whats up tom its natalie from ripon skatepark send all of the ceres information for the comp and any sponsor stuff to my mom at bearblondielucky@yahoo.com or her phone number 12096297198 or mine 12094807401 ight latskii

  • tom is in it for life!!!!!!
all of you should get behind skater owned companies
take skateboarding back from the man

  • Hell yeah tommy you rock!!!!! sic boards, truly skateboarding for the rest of us.

  • Tom rules. He’s making the thimble look like a cradle!

  • sutherlin mike

ya I ride tom’s boards that good ps stix wood. Im feelin a cali trip in the not too far future can I crash on your couch again? haha. cunningham and roosevelt sesh. you need to get up here and check out the new oregon parks!

  • Yes, that’s a photo that I took of Tom during a visit to SJ’s Lake Cunningham park over the holidays. Fun in theory, but the thimble design is much hard to skate than a regular cradle.

Tom ruled it though (as a local should!) and we spent the afternoon skating all other sections of the park. The lengthy full pipe section is worth the visit alone.

And as Livmo mentioned , I too have known Tom since those youthful salad days at the Milpitas park. As I remember Tom rocked a customized checker board flyaway helmet and Motobuilt trucks back then.

    Skateboarding is like family.

  • Cool concept.

  • that thimble is tight gnarly and only the best can ride it (read:not me)

  • Props to Tom. I’ve known him since the OG Milpitas skatepark days (1978-81), and I think he’s been “weird” in a good way his whole life.

  • Thom Agusta is rad! Those guys rule the early sessions at the bay area parks. Amazing musician too.
