Gravette ollies into deep end of Pier Park

I’m not calling you a liar

In the Surprise Guests at Pier Park post I mentioned the fact that we missed David Gravette ollie transferring from the small bowl into the deep end at Pier. Turns out I got it wrong. He was ollieing from the naturally occurring launch ramp that separates the two levels as seen in this picture from John Aguilar. John also swears that he made it. I actually think this is gnarlier than the bowl transfer. to get an idea of what he was doing, see the larger version after the jump.

You can see the two levels of surrounding platform. The top level is sticking out to the left due to the perspective. There is a short slope between them. The depth at end of this bowl is 11 1/2 feet deep. Hey, David Gravette has sponsors. I hope there’s no negative photo incentive pay for appearing on Skate and Annoy. Click to enlarge.

  1. I’ve seen David do this off the deck of a vert ramp so I can believe he pulled it.

  2. looks like he’s grabbing indy too?

Ok this is how it went down. He started way in the dirt off the deck speed ran like a bat out of hell with flames coming out of his teeth and ass, jumped on his board ollies from the launch ramp and after 4 or 5 gnarly attempts landed it clean in to the 11…..
