Drop In with Airspeed’s Geth Noble

I put in a brief appearance at the Vancouver leg of the Drop-In with Airspeed’s Geth Noble yesterday. A handful of people showed up, and it was a good time. I don’t know if he learned anything useful, but he listened and skated well. I hate to disappoint Danimal, but I only took a few pictures. You can see them all after the jump.

So the photo coverage is not exactly extensive. I was only at one spot and Rich from EPM was there without his camera if you can believe that. Fear not though, The Doctor was there with a camera crew.

Geth kept boning these out at the last second, just when I thought the air had already peaked, so I have a few pre-tweak shots.

Here’s a shot of an Geth inverted on the hip, and I mean ON the hip. Check out the hand placement.

Two little rippers from Bend Oregon showed up with their chaperone Scott. They are Jake and Gabe, or Gabe and Jake… I can’t remember which is which. Dad wasn’t skating, so we were confused as to where they got their vert influence from. We didn’t have the heart to tell them that they were hopelessly out of fashion with the supposed real skaters of Oregon, but we welcomed them into our silly little scene anyway.

Not Shown: We actually had a healthy little street session too, but I didn’t take any pics. The park was overrun by BMX bikes. No kidding, there were about 5 bikes for every skateboarder. It was weird.

  1. Geth rips and he did pull out his unit – invert 540 that is. And those kids dad needs to talk to them about the stink bug.

  2. I completly spaced it – but I wouldn’t have been able to make it up to Vancouver after work anyway. Rush hour traffic and all.

  3. […] off to Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation, even if the supervisor didn’t want to use one of my photos in a newsletter with a credit to Skate and Annoy because he thought we promoted cursing and […]
