Vancouver

GVK#17: We Barge Because We Care Can?

Here it is everyone, the new park at Vancouver. It is a Grovers Korner Exclusive, first to ride. Enjoy and barge That’s what Ivan, Rich and I did. One of the workers for the city told us the park will not open until the whole complex is done (a year) but we don’t care because we barge.

( I can’t condone that statement. I almost didn’t let this post go live. The whole park complex is scheduled to open in 2008 but the skatepark should open at the end of this month, unless the city is annoyed by bargers! – K.Ed )

Ride at your own risk

  • Hey Grovernator, great video the accent was spot on too.

  • The Doctor

Dear Mr Guns. I had a great time last night at Cory Clarks Dude Ranch with you, But I am not willing to leave my current boyfriend. Love The Doctor. Please do not contact me.

  • tommygunns

WOW…this is GAY as it gets..Barging a fucking skatepark?

  • Hey Steve-o we would happily help you remove the tags from the park. The stuff we used to clean the tags off of Pier and Glenhaven seems to work pretty well. All we need is access to water since the bio-degradeable remover leaves a greasy residue. Let us know when you need help. Also, great job on the park. It’s another Northwest gem.

  • No Harm? What about the graffiti bill I have to pay for removal. What about all the damaged fence sections I have to repair. What about the liability issue when one of you guys crack your head open in there and my insurance has to pay for it. Don’t tell me to calm down. Maybe these 2 geeks didn’t cause any harm, but handfuls of other kids have been. If one kid sees someone riding in there then they ride in there and it continues to add more problems to the situation.

thank satan that Grover doesnt skate pools….

  • That’ll show Kilwag for ignoring his better judgment and letting this go live.

Mellow out, Steve-O. No harm, no foul.

  • wow. a BMX rider pissed at skateboarders for poaching a park.

cats and dogs living together? this might be the end of society as we know it!

  • As the contractor of this park i would personally like to say thanks for intruding into our site. Thanks to riders like you who can’t wait or respect a jobsite while its under construction. The police and I have increased patrols now. Intruders will be charged with tresspass. I’M A RIDER TOO, BUT YOU DON’T SEE ME RIDING IT YET! PLEASE WAIT OR THE THE COUNTY AND US WILL CLOSE IT UNTIL NEXT SUMMER.

hey dick, so there is a vert session at newberg tuesday at 7pm. come out and ride with us.

  • hearthwood

yeah the cops are a swarming… park is fun for sure but tickets suck butts… so its bg and street spots in the meanwhiles for me

  • nweyesk8

but the flat in the top of the cradle is fun if you can get there, can you get there? I did….

  • Dick Cancer

BG SUCKS!!! Bikes suck, there’s way too much flat and the top of the cradle is flat, just like the park FLAT. One can get better lines and go faster in Newberg and not have bikes get in the way. Vancouver looks better. whatever I’m just a Dick.

  • That place looks super fun. What are the skate plans this weekend? Anybody? BG?

  • …Not as deep, not as fun…sounds like most people I know.

  • Dick Cancer

It’s not quite as deep but does look just as fun. As for BG, I don’t think it’s all that it’s cracked up to be…

  • Doesn’t look as deep as Pier… :p

  • wow, looks so much fun….let’s go.

  • JAKE FERRANTI

Barge & destroy. Meh, Battle Ground park still kills it by a yardstick.

  • What do you use? We could use some here in Louisville… drop me an email… concretins@yahoo.com

  • You bastards! You could call a brother.

  • That place looks fun as hell!

  • This park is awesome! Let’s hope this park opens soon. It seems someone is using the capsule for fireworks experiments as well. The capsule floor was littered with spent fireworks casings. Anyone interested in helping remove some of the tags from the concrete? Looks to be about 2-3 hours worth of work. The stuff we used to clean the tags off of Pier Park works great!
