Matt’s rad. glad he’s still skating, i got to meet him in chicago back in the 90’s, killer skater, good people
Gullwing is still in business? He was riding tose back in ’89!
He is also a very down to earth boss. I’m very lucky to be involved with him- great people.
I met him in Chicago back in 90 or 91.’ I was a partner in a silkscreeen business that did some work for the Chicago location of Sessions, which is now gone. I worked on some artwork for shirt he was having printed, a rip off of the Specials first album cover. Anyway, I had my head so wrapped up in the silkscreen business, I only had a vague idea who he was since I stopped subscribing to Thrasher. Those were the early days of the business, working 60 hour weeks minimum. Not a lot of time for Thrasher or skating. Skating I missed. Thrasher, not-so -much.
