Where’s Wally?

Not really a “where are they now” because we see him all the time. Wally Innoye is no stranger to the Northwest skateboarding scene. My wife spotted him on the cover of the latest Well Aware magazine. Wally is the new head chef and manager of the Bistro at Water’s Edge. Wally is a good sport, but I have to wonder if he groaned when the PR person said “What? We’ve got a former world class pro skateboarder on our staff? Let’s put him on the cover our magazine posing with a skateboard.” Wally was the last guest on Callin on Colin before he Colin moved to S&A and killed the show after one episode here.

    2. Go back and look at every known photo of Wally Inouye….he’s had that crooked arm forever!!!
I once ate breakfast in ’98 in Nehalem at his old teahouse.
Great food, and that crazy ramp with the roof!!!

If Wally wasn’t an apt rider, I’d be inclined to roll my eyes. But the fact that he is very good, makes his pose HILARIOUS. It is the classic skateboarder/ing pose depicted by media (clip art, stock photos, foreign kids’ toys, etc). Very funny.

Props to Wally for having the confidence and silliness to run with this. It makes me laugh.

Wally, broke his arm in a childhood accident and it was not skating. Great chef, great Dad, great skater, great friend…..

  7. Wally and Chris are awesome cats; Wally demonstrated the ergonic aspects of his arm one time for me on request.
