The days of the three event Oregon stop on the World Cup tour appear to be over. We’re holding steady at one official event again. This time at Pier Park on Saturday, with unofficial events in Lincoln City on Friday and Portland on Sunday. Saturday will also be a fundraiser of some sort for repairs at Pier Park, thanks to some dingholes who burned a couch in the bowl. Fundraising details are fuzzy, but the schedule of events are up on the web site.
I guess there was was a decent turn out at Tobin’s house the day after the Trifecta. Chad Balcom shot some phonecam video.
Here’s some more Lincoln City Trifecta pictures from Colin Walsh. What’s going on in that dumpster?
The skull candy dudes put a post up somewhere claiming there were goodies in the trash, one person jumped in and scored some headphones, seconds latter every child under the age of 15 was knee deep in everyones trash hunting for goodies, some kid even got a complete out of the trash, some left with prizes others were not as lucky and probably contracted HEP C.
Thanks again to Colin Walsh. Check out the pics after the jump.
I wasn’t able to make it to the Trifecata this year for the first time in… holy cow, I was there for seven years in a row. So not a bad run, yet I still felt guilty. Fortunately, the Trifecta somehow managed to go on without me, and Colin Walsh (Rules) was there in Lincoln City with his camera and sent some pictures in. If you want third pary trifecta coverage, EPM is doling out now. This is part one of the installment, more to come. Thanks Colin.
You can watch the Oregon Trifecta live on the Go211 webcast, in theory at least. Every time I tried to watch yesterday it was down.
Hey wow, I’ve got a tone of photos from the 2009 leg of Pier Park that I never put up. I had the second page almost ready to go with a third one in progress. I combined them, did some minor clean up, forget about any names, no time, no memory. Is the Oregon Trifecta still on for 2010? The official web site looks like the internet equivalent of an abandoned house, but I thought I heard Choppy on the mic during the best trick contest at the Dew Tour. I talked to Don Bostick and he said it was still on. I mentioned the abandoned web property and he mumbled something about Choppy having fundraising problems. I have to paint my house this weekend.

It’s apparently on again, although you wouldn’t know by going to the official web site, which is still stuck in pre-09 event mode. There is a flyer circulating on Facebook that say’s it slated for August, 20th-22nd, to be held in Lincoln City, West Linn and Tigard. I don’t know what a “Grass Roots Pro Purse” is, but I’ll bet the pros won’t be too excited about it. Good thing the parks are worth traveling to. Looks like it’s still a World Cup sanctioned event. Oh nuts. I just realized that I never posted the pics from last year’s event at Pier Park.
- Thanks to BK for the tip.
Someone complained that I was completely slacking on the Pier Park stop of the 2009 Oregon Trifecta. So here it is, coming down to the wire for 2009. Ken Fillion on the invert here. Hooray! So obviously, I let some four months go by before I got around to this, so everything is less than fresh in my mind. Fortunately I wrote the wrap up months ago. Unfortunately I didn’t write the captions until last night during a rerun of Glee. I am gay. (?)
Oops! Forgot the link. Check out the Oregon Trifecta at Pier Park.
In case you missed it, it’s Skreech at the Trifecta, skating a deck with the nose broken off. I’m not sure how you do that. In any case, don’t feel bad for him, he’s got his own model out on Addikt now. Enlarge-o-rama.
Jessica Starkweather at the Oregon-you-know-what, you know-know-where edition. I take this shot of her every time I see her at Pier Park, though usually the timing is better, as it’s actually a double truck frontside carve grind. Enlarge-o-rama.
