I’ve never heard Zarosh talk, so at first I thought the voiceover was actually him, but it isn’t. This video is the best. All instructional videos should be like this, even though it isn’t very instructional. Still, I gleaned a few things after watching it. Looks like Zarosh is usining the exact same exposure unit (AKA grow light) that Cold War has. Skateboards by Platypus, and voiceover by Birdo. Screen printing is amazing.

As disappointed as I am with his term, I was ready to believe this for half a heart beat. This video is fake, but pretty well done. Get some for cryin’ out loud…

Mongo man, from the mind behind Machotaildrop. I don’t know if this is just a teaser or a one off.
UNRELATED WARNING: Grover and I have a green screen in the works.

Dogboarding. I’d say “Meh….” but they did a really good job with it, even going through the trouble to green screen some live dog heads on the props. Well done. Watch it after the jump.
- Thanks to Matthijs for the tip. Source? Oh.. I don’t know… where was this found… I’m starting a week of boycotting the source posts from this site since the guy who runs it never credits SnA or anyone else for that matter. Yes, I am that big of a baby at this point.

Another skateboard movie made with Legos. It’s got slapstick, chase scenes, sound effect, lavish sets and a garage punk soundtrack thanks to the Beatnik Termites. What more could you ask for? How about surprise twist at the end, or more like another movie grafted on. Still fun.

These are a few stills from the the video for Rusko track Woo Boost on the Mad Decent label. At first I was prepared to turn this off, and quickly at that, but then it definitely got under my skin and now I could watch it endlessly. Low budget music vids are sometimes the best. Where else ar you going to find marionettes and magic carpet skateboarding?

Here’s a short but crazy video of a guy with two paint rollers fixed to his board instead of trucks. It comes from the folks at Alis in Denmark with no explanation whatsoever. Whoever this is, he doesn’t seem to have a problem ripping on a wackyboard.

There’s something inherently funny about the idea of Abe Lincoln on a skateboard. Ask MC, he’s heard me discuss the idea before (Abe and I also share a birthday-MC). If ever there was an heir apparent to the Far Side, it’s got to be the slightly darker Bizarro. Before the holidays he ran this cartoon called The Gettysburg Tweet. The artist Dan Piraro has it in color on his blog. I like that he posts his comics on his site without removing them after a period of time like so many other syndicated comics. I wonder if he had to negotiate that in his contract.

So bummed out. I had sketched out and idea to do pretty much the exact same thing, but like pretty much everything else, no time to do it. The folks at DVS came up with a good one. It’s pretty well executed. I would have put actual mongo skate footage in the spot, but they stuck true the genre of the commercials, never actually showing the problem just showing the people who suffer from it. And who am I kidding, the production values on this are 10 times better than anything with the S&A name on it. That’s part of my New Year’s resolution, to get back to more original content and actually produce some of the ideas that have been collecting dust. This bit is one of a series of videos in the same vein that are part of a really vague contest they are having called InNovation whether the idea is to invent something or come up with an idea or don’t do anything. Like I said, it’s vague.
