I don’t know shit about the Queers. I don’t know if they’re homophobic, gay or funny. O.K. I know that they can be somewhat funny. I aslo know that “Beyond the Valley… ..of the Assfuckers” is mostly boring. The songs are repetitive generic punk derivative of the Ramones, but without the wit, believe it or not. The only saving grace behind the blunt delivery would be some of the lyrics, that is, if they were intelligible. Fortunately, the lyric sheet can clear up any misunderstandings. They are homophobic, or possibly just emotionally retarded since it would be hard to call yourself “The Queers” and be truly hateful, unless you had an especially evil sense of humor. It’s possible I just don’t get the joke. I guess thier main strength is irony. Even so, there are some good songs on this CD. “Journey to the Center of your Empty fucking Skull” is a rather humorous rant against Nazi skins. “Just Say Cunt” is a guilty giggler about the imfamous C-word. Fans of the old show “Candid Camera” will appreciate the rhyme featuring Alan Funt. Other songs can’t quite live up to the caliber of their titles, such as “In With the Out Crowd” and “I Just Called to Say fuck You”. All in all this record left me with a bad taste, uh, in my mouth.

This record is forgettable. I forget where my copy is. If you find it, you can have it. As Swiv says, Bunk Rock, not Punk Rock.
