The Dillinger Escape Plan with Mike Patton: Irony is a Dead Scene

Label: Epitaph

Release Date: 2002

Review Date: 2003

Oh oh, as if “with Mike Patton” is something to brag about. You can probably guess where this review is headed, especially if you think Faith No More  lost it’s  greatness when it replaced original front man Chuck Mosley with a cartoon character. So if you like a lot of hyper-frantic guitars and screaming over multiple tempo changes and train of consciousness song structures this might be for you. Oh yeah, don’t forget about the funny voices. Then again, if you do like that kind of thing you should really go listen to some Frank Zappa instead.  Otherwise pick up this four song eighteen minute long masturbatory waste of a piece of aluminum sandwiched in plastic.

Hey Corporate Types: Why not send in your skateboard gear for review. We promise to review it promptly (unless it is raining or we are busy or lazy). If we think it sucks, we'll get a second opinion. We even pass stuff on to a lucky reader. We love product.
