If it was all I had to live for, I’d have to kill myself. I watched it at a friend’s house and was bored out of my skull. I planned on borrowing it to write a review, but life is too short. The fourth Santa Cruz video, 1990’s Reason for Living marks a departure from film stock as well as a departure from quality. The overall feel is of something that was thrown together at the last minute. You’ve all heard the stories of how the dinosaurs scrambled to stay alive during the last dry spell. This video is as good of an indication as any that the end was near. Interesting only if you are in the video or know someone in it, and then only barely. It’s not even a good documentary of the time. See Vision’s Barge at Will from their recent Classic SK8 DVD re-issues for a more entertaining document of the end of an era.
