Welcome to the bitchin' gallery of skateboarding trading card stickers from the 1970's. I came across these in a small pile without wrappers. The other side is blank so I don't know if they are related to another series of trading cards from the 70's that featured pro skaters in action shots on one side and stickers on the back. Several of the borders are missing and most are falling off the edges of the existing ones. From the looks of it, there were a lot of gypsy skaters in the 70's. The artwork is comic book influenced to be sure. The artist was probably not a skater. It looks like he or she saw one slalom board with cut-aways and decided random skaters used them too. These stickers are groovy and so are we. If anyone has any more information on the series or missing scans, please send them in. Until then, I'm going to buy some more Wacky Packs. Can you smell the cardboard pink gum?

Two that got away: I got these from a web site called sk8whore some years back. I think the domain name has changed hands since then and I can't find the old site. There are no enlarged versions of them. I am coveting the "Stoked" graphic. I'd be stoked too if I could shoot lighting bolts from my hands as a I skated!
