hard drive cleaning time an illustration by Tim Root, for the Portland Mercury, that dates back a couple years. It might have been a cover, or t-shirt, or both. I can’t remember. Tim’s illustrations for Stumptown Coffee have appeared here before. Who is Tim Root?
Jurassic Skate Park is an illustration by Dan Woodger. There’s more to it than immediately hits the eye. Check out a larger version and details on Dan’s site.
He’s Glenn Jones is a graphic designer and illustrator from Auckland, New Zealand who operates under the name GLENNZ, which is derived from ‘GLENN’ and ‘NZ’ concatenated. You can visit his site and vote on which of his designs you’d like to see made into a t-shirt. Currently there are four skateboard illustrations in the mix. I don’t know where they disappear to after voting ends, so I’ve archived them after the jump.

This is a recent advert for Stumptown Coffee that appeared in the Portland Mercury. It’s not the first skateboard themed ad they’ve run. I chopped out some negative space in this to make it take up less vertical space here. My apologies to the artist Tim Root.
– Thanks to MC for the tip.
Local Portland coffee roaster and media darlings Stumptown Coffee had an advert in the October 23rd issue of the Portland Mercury. Make a note of the location of the appendage holding the letter “T”. Stumptown is the coffee of choice in the tattooed crowd of Portland. When is Pabst going to get on the ball and shoot an advert at Burnside? They already runs ads with local bands. Donate that fee to the park. Larger after the jump.
