Get a handle on color sense

Fresko Shoes is a company that sells shoes and beachy-stuff to tourist traps next to oceans. They’re out of Florida, but I found this plastic skateboard in Pacific City, Oregon. It’s actually a pretty cool design. If someone had thought of this in the 70’s they would have sold the crap out of (another round of ) plastic skateboards. Remember, for those kids not near sizable hills and skateparks, a plastic skateboard with a good set of open bearings was a perfectly serviceable skateboard. I rode one for years, and.. uh, look how I turned out?

From the web site, where they use the skateboards as clickbait for women’s shoes.  It’s geared towards resellers and you can’t buy anything directly online. The skateboards come 10 to a case. The boards I saw were retailing for $30, which is almost exactly twice what my original plastic banana board cost at Sears., many moons ago.

Fresko likely didn’t originate the idea of the built in handle. I get a couple emails a week from companies in China offering custom branding on “Penny-style” boards. I looked into it once on a whim and you can get a custom imprint on as little 1000 boards for pretty cheap per item, assuming you can sell all those.
