Stash Block & Go Block

We ridicule a lot of so-called skateboard improvements here on S&A, but here’s one that actually could be useful for a select subset of skateboarders who already use riser pads. Why not have the option to stash “something” in your risers or pop in a mount that holds your Go Pro? That’s probably the biggest seller right there, one that I’m surprised GoPro doesn’t already offer. I wonder if it’s similar to the setup they use on the Sony Action Cam. If you want to buy them you can fund their Indiegogo campaign. They are also trying to fund a much less novel idea in the form of another clear skateboard. I guess it’s worth noting that the deck is made from bulletproof glass, so if there’s a drive-by shooting you can hide behind it.

What I would find more functional is if the riser held a skate wrench of some sort.

I can’t really imagine speeding down a hill or sliding with no grip tape. Maybe I’m missing something here.

  3. Like the idea as adding a gopro to a board (and keeping it in place) can be a hassle.

I’ve got a set of stash risers; two carved-out half-inch risers under each truck. I don’t figure many TSA agents are going to notice the ridiculous amount of air between my wheels and deck. A skate tool is required for access, but that just seems like better security.

@eric c – we are developing the tool as you speak. This all falls under our patents so we want to make sure to get you what you want. We really appreciate the feedback. Do you have any other product requests? We are working on lights, a battery, and a couple other cool thins so, keep your eyes peeled.

@rene – exactly, plus it doesn’t get in the way of your feet or require you to take anything apart to remove it.

@adam Crofts – you can add griptape to it like any other board out there. You can even add spray grip that is clear as well.

    1. How about wax?
