(DOS) Trusty Bowl Open house

Portland’s DOS Bowl is going through some changes. The new name Trusty Bowl, reflects the new management – Trusty Switchblade. The bowl will now be open to the public on certain days, including a monthly BMX only night. The changes are necessary to keep the whole thing afloat year round. Membership dips drastically in the spring and summer, and the guys on the lease have to foot the bill. If you want specifics, you can ask all the questions you want at the Open House this Saturday, April 5th from 5-8. Members only party afterwards.

Lots of good stuff has been going on around the bowl and we are almost ready to show it off. I’d like to thank Charlie Wilkins, Russ, Bo and Erika for all of the hard work they have put into the bowl over the past month; the place is looking great!

There are couple of things that I want to give everyone a heads-up about.

OPEN HOUSE – Please help spread the word. We will be hosting an Open House at the bowl this Saturday April 5th from 5-8pm $5 per person. This will be the first session open to the public since DOS closed. All public sessions will be for intermediate and advanced skaters only, unless otherwise specified. All skaters under 18yrs old must have their parent sign a waiver.

MEMBERS ONLY AFTER PARTY- We will be throwing a party to honor all of awesome members following the Open House. Beer and refreshments will be provided, so please come down and ENJOY!

GOODS BMX FRIENDS AND FAMILY NIGHT- MARK YOUR CALENDARS, the next BMX night will be happening Tuesday April 15th from 7-11pm. The first BMX session was a success! 24 riders showed and had a great time. No damage was done to the bowl and the crew left the place spotless. FYI Shad and his crew have purchased a couple of sheets of birch to have on hand just incase any damage should occur due to their usage.

MURAL – We have commissioned an artist to paint a mural on all the walls surrounding the bowl. Here is a link to some of his work http://oblvn.com/ We have ordered paint and hope to start ASAP. We will send out another email and post a message on the Facebook page letting everyone know the exact day and times that painting will be going on.
