Bummer, flat spot…

Nike SB is now one of the major sponsors of Street League Skateboarding. Next stop is Portland, Oregon this Sunday. Nike’s team put on a little demo yesterday at the world headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. This morning this big skateboard was parked out back.

A few shots of the event after the turn.

They had the deck mostly down but the quarter-pipes weren’t sheeted around 10:30 am. The demo was supposed to start at 2 p.m.

The little street setup is visible at the top of the crowd.

Skateboarding looked pretty good, P. Rod. looked like he was signing a lot of autographs. I think that’s him handing back a t-shirt at the left edge of the bottom of the shot Koston was supposedly there too. I didn’t get close enough to see.

It looks like it’s well made. The trucks look right on and they detailed the laminates on the edge of the deck.

Is that a Richard Meier building?

    1. Looks like it but a search turns up Thompson-Vaivoda and Associates as responsible for the design.

        I was guessing. Thanks.

  2. Yes, good skating eventually. P. Rod, Ishod Wair, Sean Malto, Koston, and Luan Oliveira were there. Quite the lineup. They were just figuring out the layout and getting warmed up (ie: starting to make tricks…), and they pulled them off for autographs. They looked like they were having a good time.
