Izod Lacoste

izod

This is an Artprint and Lacoste collaboration, Paris Vogue reports it’s a €250 ($334) complete skateboard, which includes the little Izod alligator. Supposed to be available at Colette in Paris, but doesn’t show up in the store at this point. Really, none of this surprises me at this point. Ironically, in the 80’s frat boys were often sporting Izod polo shirts as they harassed campus skate punks. Nowadays they have fratboards. The rubber mat grip tape looks kind of cool.

- Thanks to Pep for the tip.

  3. As a true prep I must comment. Rene Lacoste was a tennis player, designer and mod. This skateboard is a Lacoste, it has nothing to do with IZOD. IZOD was a lower tier brand that Lacoste licensed the logo to in the 80’s in the USA. The IZOD designs were always shitty compared to real French Lacoste items.

  4. still no cartoon about putting truck on backwards after 40 years of skating?
