Bingen Washington plans

From the City Administrator:

Grindline Skateparks designed and is constructing the park. We are currently doing Phase 1 and will hopefully complete Phase 2 next summer. We are in the process of fundraising for the second phase. This park was designed by our local kids working with Micah Shapiro of Grindline. We are very excited and can’t wait to see Phase 1 completed in approximately 60 days.

Phase one is the street terrain, Phase two is the snake run-ish bowl. All in all a small but useful facility that is sure to be enjoyed by the community as well as a host of drive-through visitors.

  1. Had the chance to meet & skate with Micha in Maryland a couple months back. We hit 3 different bowls at 3 different parks that day. Amazing sessions all day! He is a very cool dude, a great skater & serious about helping Grindline create solid, innovative parks.

  2. Nice. Excited for this.

  3. The bowl is on the smaller side, like Beaverton? Looks like fun.

  4. yea, heyman can vouch for Micah. Meeting in College Park MD went positive. He also is a super good Photographer!

    1. After that College Park meeting we skated Bowie, Greenbelt & Olney bowls all in the same day! Super gnar sessions & good dude!

The triangle street area is very similar to one Newline built in Campbell River.
It looked good on paper….but that design leads to so many collisions. I think its Trouble.

    1. Wow, with a capital “T” even.

    Yup

  7. Finally checked Bingen out. Super fun. Elements of it reminded me of the Eiffle Tower banks and then there’s a China Banks style bank-over-bench type obstacle… Nice Work.

Anyone know if Phase II still on the cards?
