Killer Dork Sessions

Venerable 80’s east coast zine out of Maryland with one of the best names ever is online. I’ve had my internet eye open for it for years, but I’ve been lax lately as Killer Dork Sessions has been up for a while now. Lots of old photos and four hours of videos if you can believe it. Plus you can download some old issues.

    Is it Patterson?

    1. That’s Landsdowne and it’s still going these days. Go skate it!

      1. I don’t think so… MD local here who skates the downer pretty often, and I know they’ve added a lot more ‘crete since this photo was taken but the snake run and the surroundings look nothing like Lansdowne. I could be wrong though.

Like RM said “I don’t think so”, there are no rowhouses at Landsdown at that angle to the snake run. A friend said it was the spot where Home Depot sits now. Not sure about that either

  3. Okay, we know Iggy’s “TV eye” is as in TransVestite, but WTF is an “internet eye”?

    1. A sideways reference to TV eye. Glad someone got it.

  5. Yeah kilwag, you can’t get away with appropriating from the old school gang… I “turned you in” to KDS vince, I’m glad he got some exposure from it. I owe you a bit of thanks myself, I picked up the budman jacket for 20$, I can’t wait to skate in it!

  7. That inner city shot was the snake run in balticore that was in a grassy park situated on a downhill slope, it was within a mile or so of inner harbor to the south towards hammerjacks. That thing was so fun to take a bunch of people too and just do runs and walk back up the hill. Definitely not landsdowne.

Thanks for the info Boomer. South – it could be Fed Hill, Riverside or Latrobe Park. Do you if it was sledgehammered or filled in?

  8. Nice! I need to dig through them… I used to correspond and trade zines with the guy who put out KDS.
